Welcome to Kaitlyn Vincent Therapy

Sometimes feelings are bigger than words.

Maybe your child has been having a harder time with transitions, friendships, or emotions. Maybe your teen seems distant or overwhelmed. Or maybe you're a young adult carrying a lot of pressure while trying to understand who you are. You don't need to have the perfect explanation for what's happening before reaching out.

Therapy offers a relationship in which experiences can be explored with care, at a pace that respects each person's needs.

Who I work with

Support for different stages of growing

Children

Play, art, stories, and imagination can help children communicate what is difficult to put into words. I make space for emotional expression, relationship, and developmental needs.

Teens

Adolescence brings change in identity, friendships, family relationships, and the body. Therapy can be a space where teens feel heard without needing to perform or have everything figured out.

Young adults

Growing into adulthood can stir questions about belonging, independence, intimacy, self-worth, and direction. Together we can explore old patterns and emerging possibilities.

When support might help

What brings people to therapy?

There is no single reason to begin. Some people come during a difficult season; others want more room to understand themselves and their relationships.

  • Anxiety, worry, or feeling overwhelmed
  • Big emotions, frustration, or shutdown
  • Friendship, peer, and family challenges
  • School stress, perfectionism, and pressure
  • Transitions, grief, and changes at home
  • Identity, self-esteem, and belonging
  • Stressful or difficult experiences
  • Difficulty finding words for feelings

We'll talk about your needs and whether my approach is an appropriate fit.

My approach

More than talking about feelings

Play & creativity

Children often make meaning through play. Puppets, imaginative stories, art, and other creative activities can open ways of expressing and exploring their experiences.

Body & nervous system

Emotions show up in breathing, movement, tension, energy, and sensations. Somatic therapy makes gentle room to notice these signals and explore what helps us feel more present and supported.

Relationships & connection

Our relationships shape how we understand ourselves. I approach therapy collaboratively, with attention to safety, trust, attachment, and each person's unique context.

Meet Kaitlyn

Hi, I'm Kaitlyn.

I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in San Francisco. My work is rooted in somatic psychology, relational care, and the belief that meaningful support begins with feeling seen and understood.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and creativity to therapy. With younger children, that might mean making room for play and imagination. With teens and young adults, it might mean slowing down to notice emotions, relationships, and the body's responses to everyday life.

My goal isn't to tell you who to be. It's to create space for you to discover more of yourself.

The space

A welcoming place to settle in.

The therapy room is a place for both conversation and creativity. Natural light, comfortable seating, and materials for imaginative expression offer different ways to engage in the work.

Whether you're a parent imagining your child's first session or a young adult considering therapy for yourself, I want you to have a sense of the space before we meet.
